May 10, 2012 SUBJECT: TYGON® LFL Dear Valued Customer, Saint Gobain Performance Plastics is a global industry leader in the field of high performance, application specific materials. We strive to introduce products that are regulatory compliant and meet the high quality and performance criteria that you come to expect from Saint-Gobain’s global brand. Driven by emerging regulations and customer perceptions regarding the use of DEHP (Di (2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate) in flexible tubing products, we are moving forward to eliminate this component from our product line. On November 1st 2012 we will launch Tygon® E-LFL, a non-DEHP formulation of our Tygon® Long Flexible Life (LFL) tubing. Tygon® LFL is our best performing peristaltic pump tubing with no equivalent tubing in the industry. The new Tygon® E-LFL non- DEHP tubing has even longer pump life at 0 psi and also at back pressure of up to 25 psi. During our new product development process we made sure that we have a superior product meeting the complex global regulatory requirements relevant for the product. In addition, pricing for this product will remain the same as the original Tygon® LFL. We are confident you will find that Tygon® E-LFL will meet and exceed your requirements and is everything you expect from Tygon® high performance tubing. Tygon® E-LFL samples and technical datasheets for your validation will be available one month of receiving this letter. The original Tygon® LFL tubing will be discontinued on November 1st, 2012. Please contact your local District Sales Manager to discuss this transition. We greatly appreciate and value your business and continued support. Sincerely, Katia May Product Manger – Life Science Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics

LifeSense Hose Technology

Taking The Guesswork Out Of Hydraulic Hoses is how Diesel Progress describes the impact of Eaton’s breakthrough LifeSense hose technology. Featured in the magazine’s September 2011 issue, the article presents the technical background of the LifeSense development project and covers many of the important customer benefits this new product delivers to mobile equipment users.

Eaton product marketing manager Doug Jahnke presented the LifeSense story with clear examples of both the inner workings of the technology and the ways LifeSense helps customers improve the productivity and safety of their mobile equipment.

“One of our hose engineers was in the lab … was getting the same feedback whenever a hose was about to fail. So we started a project working with Purdue University to try and expand on what he learned to confirm those consistencies.”

“… users who use a time-based replacement process would get 50% or more — and sometimes far more — life out of their hoses with LifeSense,” Jahnke said. “… preventive maintenance becomes more of a routine process, and when they do have a hose that’s been identified as going to fail, they can do it during the preventive maintenance time or they can just stop the piece of equipment and replace it without having downtime out of the blue.”

The article goes on to examine a few real-world examples of how LifeSense hose can save customers from the cost of unscheduled downtime while also improving the availability of their production equipment.

Also covered in this issue are the new coupling lines Eaton recently added with the acquisition of Hansen Couplings and Coupleurs Gromelle, plus the new FF-Series of flat-face quick-disconnect hydraulic couplings.

Price Increase on Industrial Products

To Whom It May Concern:

While we continue to closely monitor the cost of raw materials and commodities used to produce our hose and couplings, our suppliers have not been able to contain these significant increases and we find it necessary at this time to adjust our prices.

Effective Monday, August 8th, 2011 Jason will increase prices on average 9.5%.

The adjustments will be made to List Prices and will vary by product line. The higher prices reflect true cost increases which have been accumulating during the past six months.
