May 10, 2012 SUBJECT: TYGON® LFL Dear Valued Customer, Saint Gobain Performance Plastics is a global industry leader in the field of high performance, application specific materials. We strive to introduce products that are regulatory compliant and meet the high quality and performance criteria that you come to expect from Saint-Gobain’s global brand. Driven by emerging regulations and customer perceptions regarding the use of DEHP (Di (2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate) in flexible tubing products, we are moving forward to eliminate this component from our product line. On November 1st 2012 we will launch Tygon® E-LFL, a non-DEHP formulation of our Tygon® Long Flexible Life (LFL) tubing. Tygon® LFL is our best performing peristaltic pump tubing with no equivalent tubing in the industry. The new Tygon® E-LFL non- DEHP tubing has even longer pump life at 0 psi and also at back pressure of up to 25 psi. During our new product development process we made sure that we have a superior product meeting the complex global regulatory requirements relevant for the product. In addition, pricing for this product will remain the same as the original Tygon® LFL. We are confident you will find that Tygon® E-LFL will meet and exceed your requirements and is everything you expect from Tygon® high performance tubing. Tygon® E-LFL samples and technical datasheets for your validation will be available one month of receiving this letter. The original Tygon® LFL tubing will be discontinued on November 1st, 2012.
